MILLENNIUM ACADEMY

Millennium Academy is the Social & Community Action arm of the Centre For World Evangelism, based in Croydon. It is a centre for IT/Media studies and educational training for the elderly and disabled members of society regardless of religion, race, age, or disability. Since its formation the mission of the Academy is to serve, improve the quality of life for the elderly and people with disabilities and special needs by using low and high tech assistive technological tools and education. We are a charity with an excellent track record. We work hard to build relationships and trust, providing a non- judgemental environment, demonstrating positive outcomes and advice to users, carers and their families.

The Academy is impacting the lives of people of all ages in South London by teaching at sheltered housing schemes and day care centres in partnership with the London Borough of Lambeth, independent community projects such as High Trees Community Development Trust and the Aspire Health and Wellbeing Centre for people with disabilities. The Academy works regularly with organisations such as Christian organisations and churches on limited or no budget. Millennium Academy is the only community-based assistive technology voluntary organisation in the Borough of Lambeth.
